AAW Symposium - Pre-Planning
January 26th-27th, 2007 - Portland
This is pre-planning for the AAW Symposium (June 29-July 1, 2007).
Saturday, January 27th at 1:00 is set for a meeting with the local chapters.
The location will be at the Doubletree or the Convention Center.

| January - There will be "NO Open Shop" at Dale Larson's for January due to the AAW Planning session.

| March 1st-2nd - Stuary Mortimer
, from England, is probably the best spiral turner in the world. He is a very skilled and fast turner, and an entertaining demonstrator.
He has written the most current book on spiral work. He will show how to lay out
and carve spirals, hollow forms and goblets. He will give the evening meeting for the Northwest Woodturners
on March 1. He will do an all day demo at Dale Larson's shop in Gresham on Friday March 2nd.
That class will start about 9:30 and go to about 4:00pm. The cost of the all day demo will be $30. For

| July 6th-8th - Jimmy Clewes, from England, will
do hands on classes here in Portland at Dale Larson's shop. The classes will be limited to 10 turners.
Cost is not yet determined.

| July 9th - Eli Avisera, from Israel, will
conduct either a 3 or 5 day hands-on class here in Portland at Dale Larson's shop.
This class will also be limited to 10 turners.
